City Connects goes back to school

We’re excited about the start of the new school year.

City Connects’ coordinators are at work in their schools, laying a foundation to help students feel safe, supported, and understood.

In the coming weeks, coordinators will collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create personalized plans for every student, connecting children to the right services at the right time.

Here’s a numerical snapshot of the 2017-2018 school year:

City Connects coordinators are working…

in 89 schools, and counting,
in 11 districts
in 9 cities
across 5 states

In addition, the Institute of Education Sciences has awarded a four-year, $2.5 million evaluation grant to City Connects. It will be…

a 3-part study
of more than 20,000 K-8 students
conducted in 41 urban schools in Massachusetts and Connecticut

Given the hard work our coordinators will be doing, and the insights that researchers will offer us, we think it’s going to be a great year for students in City Connects schools.
